International Museum Day 2021

Gallery-Museum Lendava kindly invites you to the International Museum Day on Tuesday, 18 May 2021. On this day the entry is free at Lendava Castle, the Lendava Synagogue and the Museum of the Citizenship.

Dear visitors of the Gallery-Museum Lendava!

We are pleased to announce that our museum on Monday, 25 January 2021 re-opens the doors to the public. We invite you to view our exhibitions and collections at Lendava Castle and Synagogue.

To make your visit to the gallery pleasant and safe, please observe the protective measures:

  • Disinfect your hands when entering the museum
  • The use of your own protective mask is mandatory in all rooms
  • Pay attention to each other’s distance

Temporary opening hours of Lendava Castle:

From Monday to Friday: 8 am – 4 pm
Saturday: 10 am – 2 pm
Sunday and holidays: closed

Temporary opening hours synagogue in Lendava:

From Monday to Saturday: 10.00–14.00
Sunday and holidays: closed

PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION: Stojan Kerbler – Mini retrospective

Exhibition of photographs by Stojan Kerbler, this year’s recipient of the highest slovenian cultural award, the Prešeren Lifetime Achievement Award.

The exhibition will be on display from 7 August to 18 October 2020 in Synagogue Lendava.

EXHIBITION IN SYNAGOGUE: SHOA 2020 – Auschwitz – Place on Earth: Auschwitz Album

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day
and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz Nazi camp
we invite you to the central commemoration ceremony to be held
at the Synagogue Lendava on Thursday, 30 January 2020, at 6 pm.

We remember

We will be opening a photo exhibition on this occasion
Auschwitz – The End of the Earth: Auschwitz Album.

A prayer for the dead will be prayed by Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Slovenia, Ariel Haddad.

The keynote speaker at the memorial event will be the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.
