EXHIBITION IN SYNAGOGUE: SHOA 2020 – Auschwitz – Place on Earth: Auschwitz Album

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day
and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz Nazi camp
we invite you to the central commemoration ceremony to be held
at the Synagogue Lendava on Thursday, 30 January 2020, at 6 pm.

We remember

We will be opening a photo exhibition on this occasion
Auschwitz – The End of the Earth: Auschwitz Album.

A prayer for the dead will be prayed by Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Slovenia, Ariel Haddad.

The keynote speaker at the memorial event will be the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.

Farewell honorary citizen Dan Reisinger

Dan Reisinger (1934–2019)

27th November 2019 – the honorable citizen of the Municipality of Lendava, Dan Reisinger (Hebrew: דן ריזינגר), an Israeli artist, left us quietly. The public knowns him for his graphic and design achievements.

Dan Reisinger, the first designer to win the Israel Prize in the field, in 1998, passed away Wednesday in his sleep at age 85. He designed hundreds of symbols, stamps, army badges and medals, calendars, wall reliefs and more.

He will be remembered by the he people of Lendava for his works, which have been exhibited many times in the Synagogue of Lendava, especially the series of prints “The Scrolls of Fire”, which the artist gave to the Municipality of Lendava.

Dan Reisinger also designed the logo of the Slovenian Holocaust Museum when the synagogue Lendava with a permanent collection of the history of Dolnja Lendava (Alsó-Lendva) Jews and Judaism in Prekmurje was renamed to Slovenian Holocaust Museum.

The artist has also collaborated and worked on International Fine Art Colonies, organized by the Gallery-Museum Lendava.

FINE ARTS EXHIBITON: Ferenc Veszely – Images from Buda

I N V I T A T I O N

Gallery-Museum Lendava kindly invites you and your friends to the opening of the exhibition by the academic painter Ferenc Veszely entitled Pictures from Buda, which will be held on Thursday, 7 November 2019 at 6 pm in the Lendava Synagogue.

The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Local Government of Hegyvidék – XII. district of Budapest.
